New Murals for North Lime

That’s me,  barely visible in the back left corner of the picture below as Mayor Gray makes remarks for the unveiling for a set of digital art images, part of the Urban Wildlife Mural Series, along the fence opposite Luigart Studio and Gallery on North Limestone. More visible in the picture, in addition to Mayor Gray, starting from the back right, are: mural artist Stevie Moore, North Limestone Neighborhood Association President Marty Clifford, Clay Smitson with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Sarah Campbell, owner of Luigart Studio and Gallery.

The set of murals was completed as part of the Eco-Arts grant program sponsored by LFUCG’s Department of Environmental Quality and Public Works.  The grant program is part of the city’s innovative efforts to inform and educate the public about ways to improve our storm water system.

Take a look next time you drive by, or make a special trip to view these stunning, informative images.

Thanks to Mayor Gray for helping mark this occasion, and to all whose work contributed to this latest improvement to the emerging North Limestone corridor.
