A Cool Breeze in Lexington

I recently filmed a GTV3 spot at Big Ass Fans with the president, Carey Smith.  It was a fascinating visit with a Lexington company with a global reach.  By thinking about the problem of moving large volumes of air in a different way–instead of more fans, bigger fans–and using sophisticated design and engineering, Big Ass Fans has become a leader in their field, with a world-wide presence.  Big Ass Fans are able to move a large amount of air with very little horsepower, thus saving energy and money.   Their careful design, in places like schools,   can even make sure the papers on the desks in the room do not move!  Mr. Smith also explains how his company got its unusual name.  You can watch the spot here.
