Youth Speak Out for Change
Last week I attended “Youth Speak Out for Change” sponsored by the Mayor’s Youth Council and Partners for Youth. It was great to be with these exciting and inspiring young people who care about our community, think about it creatively, and are working to make it better.
This session featured four high school students who had created projects aimed at building connections within their schools. The four projects and the students that created them are: “Equality=Multicultural Collaboration,” Jonathan Karp, Lafayette High School; “Interfaith Club,” Sojie Gleeson, Bryan Station High School; “Accessible Swim Lessons,” Grant Boggess, Dunbar High School; and “Philosophy Courses,” Cory Banta, Bryan Station High School.
Congratulations to these students and all the students who worked with them and attended sessions.
