Southland Association Making Progress

My aide Leah Boggs recently attended the annual meeting of the Southland Association which includes businesses, commercial property owners, residents, and other neighborhood associations. The Association was instrumental in getting the Farmer’s Market on Southland and starting the Bluegrass Jamboree.  They are currently participating in a composting pilot program with Bluegrass Pride, and are working on installing art in front of the fire station, and at the bus stop in partnership with Art in Motion.

Southland is a good example of an area that will benefit from mixed use development as we focus more on redevelopment in our community.  The Southland Association is helping Southland become a vital neighborhood.
