Pat and Me on GTV3
When I moved into my office at the Government Center (previous illustrious tenants of this office include Vice-Mayor Gorton and former At-Large representative Dr. David Stevens) I was faced with the question of what to put on the blank white walls. After some thought I decided that the office might serve as a mini-gallery featuring local artists. I called Patrick McNeese, long- time observer of and participant in the Lexington arts and cultural scene, to see what he thought of the idea. Since he thought it was a good idea, I asked him to be the first artist represented. He agreed, and he also agreed to have the choosing and installation of his work be the subject my first GTV video.
The video of my conversation with Pat regarding his art is now playing on GTV3 . Pat is a singer, composer and visual artist who has been living in downtown Lexington since 1981. His art is contained in the collections of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Hilton Suites Hotels, Brown-Foreman, Inc., the Kentucky Clinic, UK College of Fine Arts, and many private collections. Stop by my office and see a few of his paintings on my walls.
