The First Customer

Yesterday was the first day for the food cart in the Government Center and as you can see from the picture, Vice Mayor Linda Gorton was the first customer.  It was a great success despite logistical snafus common to the first day.  The food cart sold out of everything but some greens which will be donated to God’s Pantry.  At first count, it appears they broke even.   A ribbon cutting will be held next Thursday at 11:00 a.m.  Come by and buy some veggies!  Again many thanks to Lexington Farmers’ Market, ProgressLexington, and the Local Food Percolator for making this happen!
