Food trucks moving forward

There has been some good news on the food truck front.  The subcommittee working on a pilot program for the downtown core believes they have an agreement that meets the various needs and concerns expressed.  Under the proposal, food trucks would be allowed on public property late night from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am as long as they are located at least 200 ft. away from a restaurant whose kitchen is still open at that time.  If the proposal meets the approval of the full Committee, the ordinance can move forward.  The next meeting of the Itinerant Merchant Task Force is April 16th at 1:00 pm in the 5th floor conference room of the Government Center.
